Wisdom is a five-year study that will test two different approaches to breast cancer screening – annual mammography vs. a personalized, risk-based approach. Our goal is to determine whether personalized screening is as safe, effective and accepted compared to annual screening.
As part of the Athena Network, Edith Sanford Breast Center is excited to offer patients the opportunity to participate in this landmark study. How WISDOM Works Designed to determine the best screening guidelines for breast cancer, women will be randomly assigned or select to participate in one of two arms: annual or personalized screening.
